ECE R10.06 – Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
This automotive EMC certification (often called the "E-Mark") ensures that PaceBlade devices:
- Don’t interfere with other electronic systems in the vehicle (radio, GPS, lighting, safety systems)
- Aren’t affected by those systems either
Where it matters most:
- Public buses and trams
- Emergency vehicles and ambulances
- Delivery vans and fleet trucks
Why it’s essential
In many European countries (including Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland…), R10.06 is a legal requirement for any device mounted inside a professional vehicle. It’s a key standard in tenders and compliance checks.
What it means for you
Project managers and procurement teams can confidently select PaceBlade devices knowing they’re road-ready, fleet-compliant, and safe to operate around critical vehicle electronics.
ECE R118 – Fire & Flame Resistance
R118 certification covers the flame retardancy of materials used in our cables and mounts, especially those installed in passenger compartments. It ensures that:
- Materials resist catching fire
- Flames don’t spread easily through wiring or connectors
Where it applies:
- Public transport (buses, coaches, shared vehicles)
- Freight vehicles with onboard terminals
- Any environment where passengers or drivers are exposed to mounted hardware
Why it’s required
R118 is a mandatory fire safety standard in countries like Germany and often requested in others for public and passenger vehicles.
What it means for you
Whether you’re managing a public fleet or responding to fire safety audits, you can count on PaceBlade installations to meet flame resistance standards and protect passengers and staff.

Rugged and Certified for Demanding Conditions
In addition to vehicle-specific certifications, PaceBlade devices are tested and certified for:
- Ingress protection (IP67) – Dust-tight and waterproof
- Shock & vibration resistance – Built to MIL-STD-810 standards for mobility and durability
- CE compliance – Approved for use across all European markets
These certifications make our devices ideal for harsh environments, whether it’s wet weather on the road, constant vibrations in a moving truck, or the rugged daily use by field technicians.
